Sarah L. Glynn, Esq.
ATTORNEY

Bio
Sarah Glynn is an attorney who has maintained a private practice at Oxford Hills Law in South Paris since 1999. Her general law practice has encompassed the areas of criminal law, family law, civil litigation, probate, and veterans assistance. In recent years, her practice has been limited to predominantly criminal cases. Although she turned over the practice at the end of 2024, she remains “of counsel” and serves as a Resource Counsel for PDS.
Born in Newport, Rhode Island, Sarah was the child of two educators who established the family homestead in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts. Following in her parents’ footsteps, Sarah completed her Bachelor of Science in Education degree, with a dual major in Special Education and Elementary Education, from Westfield State College in Westfield Massachusetts in 1978. Faced with the prospect of settling into a calm life at the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, Sarah chose instead to join the Navy as an unrestricted line officer, a career choice that she immediately embraced for its demands, its challenges, and its tremendous professional and personal rewards. During her military career, Sarah served as a Surface Warfare Officer, and also qualified as a Seabee Combat Warfare officer. While serving in the Navy, she was also assigned as a military justice officer, where she developed an appreciation for the intricacies of the legal profession, and made the decision to practice law as her second career. Sarah is also an accredited attorney certified through the Office of General Counsel to help veterans and their families with claims through the Veterans Administration.
Upon retiring from the Navy as a Commander, Sarah selected the University of Maine School of Law in Portland to pursue her JD degree. Impressed with the high quality of life in the State of Maine, Sarah has remained and is delighted to have been welcomed into the community. Sarah has a grown daughter, Erin, and a granddaughter, Eva, who reside in Oregon. She is active with several volunteer opportunities through Kiwanis, veterans service groups, and community events.
