Vera Angell

Vera Angell was given the opportunity to enter into the field of law when Sarah Glynn and Linda Russell hired her to be a legal assistant in 2016.

Born at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia, Vera is the child of an Army sergeant and a German immigrant. The family eventually ended up living in Shirley, Long Island, NY.  After graduating high school, Vera joined the Army National Guard and shortly after, she joined the U. S. Army and was stationed at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. After her honorable discharge from the Army, she continued to travel with her 1st husband, Leonard Brothers until his retirement from the Navy in 1996.

After settling in Glen Burnie, MD, Vera had several enjoyable careers which included time as a medical assistant, office manager, computer tech support employee, and telephone system administrator. Eventually, Vera ended up working for the Maryland Jockey Club as the webmaster for both Laurel Park and Pimlico thoroughbred race tracks and brought that job home with her when she returned to her home state of Maine in 2004.

Vera is the mother of two boys, Carl and Sean as well as four step-children, Jeremy, Joshua, Jennifer and Kelly. Vera and her second husband, Mark, have 21 grandchildren when you count the 5 grandchildren that joined the family through marriages.

Vera is active with the local South Paris American Legion.
